Arsenal Should Drop Financial Pressure and Fix Hanging Players or Risk Getting Burned

Arsenal is riding high on their fourth place finish last season in the Premiership to remain calm despite their pathetic performance at start of the Premiership. How can Arsene Wenger explain their loss to Manchester City, falling behind eight points of Manchester United and recording their worst top flight campaign in 14 years?

Arsenal surprisingly saw their stars grow faster than expected that helped them sneaked through fourth place on the last day of the competition last season, something we might not be able to see from them unless they get their acts together.

Arsenal is Asking Too Much for Ashley Cole as if Saying No Transfer

Ashley ColeArsene Wenger played a pshychological warfare with Ashley Cole by keeping him out of the Premier League opener sending a message that they are open to transfer him to another team.

About a year ago, Ashley Cole backstabbed Arsenal by talking to Chelsea officials for a possible transfer without the knowledge of his club, though, the deal has not materialized but interest and negotiations between the two clubs have risen following the exclusion of Ashley from the lineup.

Does Arsenal Want to Keep Cole?

They are saying one thing but they are doing the opposite. They have setup a smoke screen to appease Ashley Cole by declaring their willingness to move him and by leaving him out of the team lineup, they are placing more weight on where they stand.

Ferguson is Lying About Ruud

Ferguson is lying when he said their parting with their scoring Machine Ruud Van Nistelrooy was “very painful”. He plotted it, wanted it, and drove him out of Old Trafford; but what he doesn’t realize is that the parting with his prized striker is going to get more painful than he thought as the season starts and progress deep into the year.

As Ferguson says: It’s how they react and adapt to being left out that counts. Ruud was different in that way and so that’s what happened.

Give Carrick the No. of Keane, then Wait

Michael CarrickCarrick was given the number of Manchester legend Roy Keane, 16, who already retired from the games. The number is directly a message telling all fans to expect a legend like future from the 25-year-old former Spur.

Do the club’s expectations a little too high?

But, did they pay more to justify the expectations?

Manchester United made the young player the fifth most expensive signing of the club at £14 million and probably £4.6 million more depending on club’s success this season. The details of
what constitutes success has not been reported but anything less than leadership on standings is considered a failure, I assume.

Ruud Van NistelrooyRuud Van Nistelrooy is politically used to increase his value before Alex Ferguson milks and acceptable amount of money out of his transfer.

His feud with Christian Ronaldo, the increase in playing time for Louis Saha and his exclusion from Roy Keane’s retirement celebration game does not seem to favor Ruud; enough to believe Alex Ferguson’s public announcement which says he ain’t going anywhere and shall be in an United shirts when the season starts.

Christian RonaldoA few days ago Christian was bent on leaving Manchester, but it seem he have softened his stance a bit—saying, There is still nothing concrete, If it is a question of staying then it will be fine, if I leave it will also be fine. It is still a question that has to be decided and is an issue that has to be discussed in the next few days.
