Valiant Effort, But Buffon Will Soon Give Up

Gianluigi Buffon Goalkeeper (Juventus, Italy)Everyone who left Juventus wasn’t given enough respect as a player and person for their pathetic loyalty to their club who stood up for them and their careers; the same could not be said for one of the best goalkeepers in the world—Gianluigi Buffon who stayed with the club despite their relegation.

Enough of the pretension and Buffon should start leaving in reality where the truth, Juventus is not going anywhere for at least two years. Buffon is only 28 years-old and after a spectacular performance at the FIFA World Cup in Germany where he only allowed two goals and finished 5th in all time ranking for the longest time of denying a goal; he would not have any trouble finding a new home.

West Ham’s Argentine Punches Should Never Consider Juventus

Alan Pardew (West Ham)Alan Pardew is the manager of West Ham whose Argentine players Javier Mascherano and Carlos Tevez are targeted by Juventus among others. It is reported that Jaview Mascheranos may be out by January but Alan Pardew is giving these two players more than enough playing time while alienating Marlon Harewood and Hayden Mullins from their system of play. Javier and Carlos are better than Marlon and Hayden and giving them more playing time makes sure these two players know they are in the system of West Ham to answer doubts of their importance in the team.

It is believed that West Ham is built today and in the future around Marlon and Hayden but the way Pardew treats them tell otherwise.

Owen Hargreaves’ Injury Impacts both England and Bayern Munich

Owen Hargreaves (Bayern Munich)Owen Hargreaves of Bayern Munich fractured his left fibula during their game against Armenia Bielefeld and would be out for at least six weeks.

Owen is taking it lightly: I need to wear a plaster for three weeks, then we have to wait and see how the recovery goes. That’s the way it is in football, sometimes you are flying high and all of a sudden you are down again.

Owen Hargreaves is a dependable defensive midfielder which will be sorely missed by Bayern Munich against Inter Milan and Sporting Lisbon against Champions League Group.

Why Real Needs to Extend David Beckham

David BeckhamDavid Beckham is 31 years old, gone are his days of cannon ball shots and his contract with Real Madrid is expiring soon. Should he be extended? Definitely. Should he extend? Definitely.

David Beckham is getting old and a two year extension on what is still looking to become a big money spending for Real Madrid doesn’t make sense, unless he agrees on cheap contract, which I seriously doubt.

Why would Real open their wallets for David Beckham?

David Beckham is still the marketing phenomenal no matter how poor he plays, people love him and Real Madrid cannot let go of someone that generates enough money off his image to pay probably pay half of their team’s salaries. Given that he’s years are coming to end means a lot of fans are storming the stadium to see his final competitions. He isn’t like any superstar who fades as he grows old but the love and admiration of his loyal legions will pay their last respect to the person that occupied their hearts for more than a decade.

Reyes gave a lame excuse for staying at Arsenal, please shut up.

It’s obviously no brainer that Reyes’ denial of his interested transfer to Real Madrid was meant to shut everyone up and appease his club to put him in a better bargaining position. He is no superstar and could not make any Christian Ronaldo type stunt; but accept the fact that he needs to bow down to get decisions in favor of him. Well, you better shut yourself up too, because you are just another card to be dealt with.

Who Else Loves the Bench More than Ruud?

Ruud Van NistelrooyRuud Van Nistelrooy is finally happy to settle down in his dream team, Real Madrid, after he fell out of grace from Alex Ferguson over Christian Ronaldo and his antics. As posted previously, no matter what Alex Ferguson says, Ruud is going to be dealt out of Manchester United, and true enough it did not take too long to kick him out of the English club.

He is a very happy man to play in what he calls as the greatest team in the world; he adds that he is somehow nervous on his move to a team like Real. What? If I may ask, what is he nervous of? Sitting on the bench?

Liverpool contain Pennant’s Criminal Behavior

Jermaine PennantLiverpool manager Rafael Benitez made a good decision in acquiring Jermaine Pennant from Arsenal despite his reckless driving, alcoholic behavior and attitude problems.

Was it Risky to sign Jermaine?

Who cares? At £6.7million, the winger they acquired ranks number 1 in Premiership with 497 crosses last season, a feat bigger than what was paid for him. They got a superb right-midfield player sans his attitude, for almost £6.0million less than what was asked for by Sevilla for Daniel Alves.
