How the Hell did Rookie Roy Keane became a World Class Manager?
The Manchester United legend Roy Keane retired last May and he has never considered coaching or other jobs hinted by his previous club.
Instead, the media is buzzing right now as Niall Quinn who function as the chairman and manager of Sunderland is bent on getting the former player at all cost instead of settling for Martin O’Neill and Sam Allardyce for the managerial position expected to bring salvation to their fate.
Quin is confident that his prized “manager to be” is going to change their destiny which now stands at four successive defeats. He said that he was actually looking for a world class manager and that Roy fits the bill.
Is this a joke? How could someone be world class when he never took that kind of job before? It is going to take time for the unexperienced manager to learn the ins and out of the team, handling and understanding their emotions, etc. before he actually become an average manager.
Roy Keane is no push-over as a player and has shown success and greatness at Manchester United; but I believe Sutherland is just feeding the minds of people that Roy is a great and world class manager to appease their fans and supporters.
Quin, open your eyes because Roy is going to be as surprised as you are on the field from the sidelines and nowhere near the greatness you talk about.
